The scheduled time for the landing was 5:47 PM to 6:30 PM IST, and I had been eagerly counting down the minutes. As the moment approached, my anticipation and excitement intensified, causing my heart to race.
Then, it finally happened. ISRO commentary were started for counting the distance between moon and lander. As the lander “Vikram”, gently touched down on the moon’s surface with a soft thud, and ISRO scientist were started to applause. I couldn’t tell you, how I joyed that, movement. I joined in with my family dancing and jumping. While watching the live stream, it was a historic milestone, and I felt honored to have witnessed it firsthand.
Continuously I was shouting Bharatmata Ki Jai!, Vande Mataram! I continued watching as Vikram settled into its position. Then, turning to my family and friends, who were sharing the moment, we exchanged hugs and congratulations. It was an unforgettable experience that we would forever cherish. For a few more minutes, I don’t know what was I did, but my mother tell me that you were acting crazy.
The successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 held immense significance for India. It showcased India’s prowess in the realm of space exploration on a global stage. It also filled Indians worldwide with an immense sense of pride.
