Helping verbs of all tenses : Tenses of Verbs :
➥ Verbs are words which denote an action.
➦ The tenses of verbs are depending upon the time when the action takes place.
i.e.: Past, Present or Future.
➥ The verb takes on these various forms which is called as ‘Tense of the verb.
➦ There are three main verb tenses : Present, Past, and Future.
➥ Each main tense is divided into simple, continuous/progressive, perfect and perfect continuous tenses.

B] PAST TENSE

A] SIMPLE TENSE

2. Simple Past Tense

B] CONTINUOUS/ PROGRESSIVE TENSE

An action that going on continuously since past | They are expanding the company. |
An action that is sure to happen in the future | We are travelling by the Shivaneri Bus next week. |
5. Past Continuous Tense

To show an action progress when narrating a story | The little girl was travelling through a boat. |
6. Future Continuous Tense

C] PERFECT TENSE
